KB Electronics make many different AC drives provide variable speed for 3ph AC Induction motors. The KBAC -27D is recommended for 1 hp, 1.5 hp and 2.0 hp – 3 phase motors. The KBAC-27D VFD converts 115 volt or 230 volt single phase power to 3 phase 230 volt power for your 3 phase motor.
*Note: These variable frequency drives are not compatible with GFIC outlets and can only be used on standard outlets.
KBAC Hybrid Drive™ – NEMA 4X / IP65
The KBAC Series of Adjustable Frequency Drives consist of six inverter models. These drives are housed in heavy duty NEMA 4X / IP 65 die-cast aluminum washdown/watertight enclosures for indoor or outdoor use. Hybrid drives are a digital drive with an analog interface. Warranty is 18 months from date of purchase.
Options: On/Off AC Line Switch, Forward-Stop-Reverse Switch and Strain Relief liquid tight Fittings and SJOOW cable are available for purchase.

What is the difference between SOOW and SJOOW cable for a belt grinder?
The main difference is voltage rating and jacket thickness. SOOW is rated for 600V and has a thicker outer jacket, making it highly durable for heavy-duty industrial workshop environments. SJOOW (Junior service) is rated for 300V and is thinner and more flexible. For a standard 1.5 HP to 2 HP belt grinder motor or VFD setup, SJOOW is perfectly sufficient, but SOOW offers maximum abrasion and oil resistance.
