Custom heat treating and tempering.

We offer heat treatment and tempering of carbon steel – tool steel and martensitic stainless blade steel.
We use a computerized kiln and aluminum quench plates.
We don’t have cryogenics and we don’t do Rockwell testing of your blades.
We have some size limitations imposed by equipment. The neck of the quench tank is only 3 1/2 inches wide and is 18″ deep.
We do are best to minimize warping, but warping can, and most often will occur with long and or thin blades. Should this happen, it is the maker’s responsibility to straighten.
